Defensive driving lessons in Harrow are scaled down versions of advanced driving lessons. The aim of the course is to increase your ability to perceive hazards thus avoid potential accidents. Defensive lessons will reduce the number of distractions you may have when driving, freeing up your senses and making you more alert. You will be amazed at how many environmental variables defensive tuition will make you aware of. Some examples of what you will learn are: if you see smoke coming out of an exhaust, this means a driver has just started their engine and may pull out in front of you at any moment and looking into shop windows to see round corners to spot potential hazards such as someone walking into the road as you enter.

There are no set number of defensive lessons any given person will need. Everybody has their own level of driving, which dictates the amount of tuition they will need. The lessons are generally two hours in length and you can take as many lessons as you need. There is no defensive driving test. Although defensive tuition is a useful experience if you want to take one of the advanced motoring tests such as The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents' test.

If you are unsure as to the benefits that joining a defensive driving course will offer, we can book you an assessment so you can see for yourself what the lessons can offer.

PLEASE NOTE: We do teach the basics of defensive training techniques on all of our courses in Harrow where applicable, however our defensive training courses take a more in depth look at hazards and how to prevent accidents and from being in one!
